Born in Seoul in 1978, he obtains his diploma in singing at the National Arts Academy in Seoul and at the conservatory «Giuseppe Verdi» in Milan. In 2000 he wins the first prize at the 40th International Competition «Voci Verdiane» in Busseto and the third prize at the 37th«Francisco Viñas» contest in Barcelona. In 2002 he wins the third prize at the «Belvedere Competition» in Vienna. In 2000 he debuts as Giorgio Germont at Teatro Pala in Busseto.
